About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to help shape the future of digital health at Bupa. In this role, you’ll work within a cross-functional squad, collaborating with product and engineering to design experiences that make health simple and accessible.

You’ll take ownership of key journeys, contribute to discovery, and ensure design quality across the product—with guidance and support from your Lead Designer and Design Principal.

How you’ll help us make health happen

  • Design end-to-end experiences that feel intuitive and deliver real value.
  • Support discovery and strategy—frame problems, test ideas, and guide your squad toward validated solutions.
  • Plan and conduct evaluative research, embedding insights into design decisions.
  • Facilitate collaboration through workshops and design sprints.
  • Balance user and business needs to create desirable, feasible, and viable solutions.
  • Elevate design quality and contribute to setting the standard for craft and thinking.
  • Advocate for and contribute to Bupa’s design system (Anatomy) for consistency and scalability.
  • Ensure accessibility by designing experiences that meet WCAG 2.2 AA standards.
  • Foster a culture of experimentation and continuous learning.

What you bring

  • Substantial years’ experience in product design, with experience owning complex journeys.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates strategic thinking, interaction design depth, and measurable impact.
  • Depth in product design plus exposure to research, service, content, or systems.
  • Ability to zoom out on vision and zoom in on details.
  • Discovery mindset: test early, work through ambiguity.
  • Interaction-first approach: design how it works, not just how it looks.
  • Skilled in Figma, design systems, and accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA).
  • Experience conducting user research and usability testing; bonus if you know AI tools like Figma Make or Lovable.
  • Strong grasp of experimentation and agile ways of working.

Benefits

Our benefits are designed to make health happen for our people. Viva is our global wellbeing programme and includes all aspects of our health – from mental and physical, to financial, social and environmental wellbeing. We support flexible working and have a range of family friendly benefits.

  • An enhanced pension plan and life insurance
