CLEAR is building THE secure identity company of the future. Our mission is to make experiences safer and easier—physically and digitally. With more than 43 million Members and a growing network of partners across the world, CLEAR's secure identity platform is transforming the way people live, work, and travel. Whether it’s at the airport, stadium, or throughout your everyday life, CLEAR unlocks the magic of frictionless experiences.

As a Senior Product Designer, you'll own the design of complex identity and verification journeys end to end, creating intuitive, trusted experiences that make verification feel simple. You'll partner closely with Product, Engineering, internal stakeholders, and business teams to turn user insights into impactful solutions. You'll set a high bar for craft and help raise the quality of design across CLEAR.

What you'll do:

Own design end to end: Lead high-impact initiatives from discovery and concept development through prototyping, detailed design, and launch, with a high bar for craft

Shape product direction: Work with Product and Engineering to define problems, frame opportunities, and turn user needs and business goals into intuitive, high-quality experiences

Advocate for users: Use research insights, analytics, and experimentation to find friction and keep improving the product experience

Design for trust: Balance usability with privacy, security, and accessibility in experiences people rely on to verify who they are

Contribute to the design system: Help evolve shared components, patterns, and standards so experiences stay consistent across CLEAR

Raise the bar for the team: Give thoughtful feedback in critiques, share your approach, and mentor other designers informally

How you'll measure success:

Measurable improvements in the journeys you own, such as completion rates, drop-off, and time to verify

Quality, usability, and consistency of the experiences you ship

Strong partnerships with Product and Engineering, with work moving quickly from discovery to launch

Contributions that strengthen the design system and raise the craft of the broader team

What you're great at:

Experience: 5+ years in product design, ideally including complex, multi-step flows or regulated products

Hands-on craft: A portfolio that shows high-quality digital experiences you designed yourself, with strong interaction, visual, and systems thinking

Problem solving: Experience using customer insight to solve complex product problems and turning ambiguity into clear design direction

Cross-functional partnership: Skill in working with Product and Engineering to prioritize opportunities and take products from concept to launch

Clear communication: The ability to present your work, explain your design decisions, and bring stakeholders along

Sound judgment: The ability to balance customer needs, business outcomes, technical constraints, privacy, and security while moving quickly in a fast-paced environment
