Job Purpose:

· The Senior Product Owner (ePI) is responsible for maximising the value of Electronic Product Information by translating regulatory and operational business needs into a prioritised backlog and leading delivery across a complex product ecosystem. The role ensures that regulatory- and process-driven changes are delivered within applicable GxP, compliance, data-use and data-access requirements and within strategic and financial guardrails agreed with the Product Manager in line with Tech leadership direction. Working closely with business stakeholders and external partners, the Product Owner defines outcomes and ensures delivered functionality is usable, secure, compliant, supportable and aligned to product strategy.

· The Senior Product Owner (ePI) guides Product Analysts and works with Engineers, Architects, Testers, Service teams and external partners to ensure requirements are clear, value-driven and data-informed. The job holder makes day-to-day backlog and acceptance decisions, oversees iterative delivery and uses product performance information to improve adoption, stability, user experience and operational readiness.

· The role is accountable for maintaining clarity of scope and decision making throughout discovery, refinement, design, testing, release and operation. Strategic investment, major architecture and cross-product trade-offs that exceed delegated authority are escalated to the Product Manager, who coordinates further escalation to the Product Domain Lead or Tech leadership team in line with agreed decision rights.

Key Responsibilities:

· Partner with business stakeholders to understand functional needs, refine requirements and define product outcomes and maintain alignment throughout delivery.

· Lead end-to-end product delivery across the complex ePI ecosystem, guiding Product Analysts and coordinating Engineers, Architects, Testers, enterprise platform teams and external partners to ensure solutions are fit for purpose, secure, compliant, supportable and aligned to applicable standards.

· Ensure ePI product changes, including regulatory-driven changes, comply with applicable GxP, security, data-use, data-access, privacy, quality, validation, change and regulatory controls, obtaining specialist approvals where required.

· Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring epics, features and user stories are well defined and supported by relevant data on value, users, cost, risk, dependencies and process impact.

· Use AI tools to draft requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and summaries of stakeholder input, and have the output reviewed before it enters the backlog.

· Make backlog prioritisation decisions based on value, cost, risk, business continuity and resource capacity, escalating strategic trade-offs in line with the agreed RACI.

· Lead refinement, demonstrations, acceptance and release decisions and maintain clear traceability from business outcome through requirement, test and delivered change.

· Drive operational readiness using a structured checklist covering support model, training, continuity, configuration, runbooks, release notes, validation evidence and user onboarding.

· Define and maintain the product performance dashboard, tracking adoption, process outcomes, cycle time, stability, defects, user experience and support effort.

· Support Architects in assessing design options and manage cross-product dependencies, interface impacts and release sequencing.

· Build working knowledge of the ePI platforms and, with guidance, identify straightforward improvement opportunities, such as regulatory-change automation, and flag them to the Product Manager for assessment.

· Act as an escalation point for the product team and business users on functional product issues and guide resolution within agreed guardrails.

· Coordinate supplier delivery and hold external partners accountable for quality, documentation, knowledge transfer and product outcomes.

· Promote agile, iterative, value-driven and data-led delivery and use feedback and performance insights to continuously improve the product.
