the posting
The NIKE, Inc. Communications team builds authentic connections with diverse audiences through the lens of sport and innovation. We create premium brand stories, strengthen Nike’s reputation and brand equity, and engage employees, media, athletes, partners and consumers.
We’re looking for an experienced communications professional to join our CEMEA (Central Europe, Middle East & Africa) Communications team, helping shape how Nike shows up across this diverse and dynamic region.
WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You’ll be part of the Nike CEMEA Communications team, based across EHQ and Dubai, reporting to the Director of Communications, CEMEA.
You’ll work closely with EMEA and Global Communications, Brand Marketing and Sports Marketing, as well as external communications agencies across key CEMEA markets including Türkiye, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and Nigeria.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a communications professional who combines strategic thinking, creativity and strong execution. You understand how to build relevant, engaging stories for different audiences and can navigate a complex, fast-moving region with confidence.
A strong connection to and cultural understanding of the CEMEA region is important, helping you shape communications that are locally relevant and resonate with audiences across different markets and cultures. You bring fresh thinking to how Nike stories and experiences come to life across different platforms and channels. A passion for sport and a strong understanding of sport culture is a plus.
YOU’LL BRING:
- Strong experience developing and executing communications strategies and seasonal plans.
- Experience working across CEMEA and a strong understanding of the region is highly preferred.
- Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to create relevant, audience-led communications.
- Experience working with internal stakeholders, media, athletes and external communications agencies.
- The ability to influence and build relationships across a complex, matrixed organization.
- Strong project management skills across planning, execution, budgets and agency management.
- A creative, solutions-oriented mindset and the ability to bring new approaches to storytelling.
- The ability to navigate complex and sensitive topics with sound judgement.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
You’ll develop and execute communications strategies and seasonal plans across CEMEA markets and sports, including Training, Football, Running and Nike Sportswear, working closely with local communications agencies to bring the work to life.
You’ll act as a regional communications expert, partnering with the CEMEA Brand team on key projects and helping shape communications approaches that are relevant to local audiences and cultures. You’ll manage multiple agency partners across the region, from briefing and planning through to execution and recap.
You’ll also partner with EMEA and Global Communications to connect CEMEA into relevant Geo and Global stories and moments, while advocating for the region and highlighting its importance to Nike’s brand and business.
Applications will be accepted until 10th November. We encourage external candidates to apply as soon as possible, as the posting may close earlier if we receive a sufficient number of applications.
