Senior Profit Protection Analyst

The breadth of Profit Protections responsibilities within Dyson spans from manufacture to sale. Most customers in the retail sector use a blended Omni channel approach to selecting and purchasing products. Similarly, bad actors also adopt an Omni Channel approach and evidence of their activities is therefore distributed across multiple platforms. Offenders target retailers throughout their entire supply chain. Through a blended approach that includes big data analytics, artificial intelligence and fraud analysts, mature organisations effectively manage shrinkage, ensuring exposure to internal, external and process loss are managed both proactively and reactively within agreed frameworks and tolerances. Dyson is on a strategic path to create a robust framework on which to manage our Profit Protection challenges and the Senior Analyst will unlock our business insights through actionable data.

The Profit Protection Senior Analyst will support the Lead Profit Protection Analyst in evolving our data to ensure all areas of the ‘Total Loss’ risk profile are reported to the Profit Protection Field team and business stakeholders. They will expand our data understanding and data visualisation capabilities across multiple commercial reporting platforms across the ‘Total Loss’ Model.

About you

• Essential:
• - Strong analytical, statistical and numeracy skills with attention to detail and acute observation and listening skills. Comfortable interpreting the numbers and actively using data to help make commercial decisions.
• - Outstanding IT skills - Google Cloud Platform (or similar Data Lake environments), Tableau/LOOKER, MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint, SQL.
• - Good knowledge of Stock Management, CRM systems and Data Mining tools.
• - Tenacity to track down the information required relentlessly to ensure evidential standards are not compromised and all available data is made available to map, track and trend the red flag fraud metrics in a real time environment.
• - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to create stories with data.
• - Evolve the Profit Protection reporting KPI’s to keep the metrics current, relevant, informative and provide the business pertinent business risk information.

• Desirable:
• - Experience within the Electronics and/or Manufacturing industry
• - Experience in Supply Chain/Retail Profit Protection analytics
• - Formal analytics qualification
• - Experience (3 year minimum) of a similar role
