Senior Quantity Surveyor

Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS)

Project & Cost Management (PCM)

Key Responsibilities

• •Manage cost management and quantity surveying activities across assigned projects.
• •Prepare and review cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ) and cost plans.
• •Conduct quantity take-offs, measurement and valuation of construction works.
• •Support tender documentation, bid evaluation and contractor selection.
• •Monitor project costs, budgets and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
• •Review variations, claims, interim payment applications and final accounts.
• •Coordinate with project managers, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders.
• •Provide cost advice and ensure project delivery aligns with approved budgets and client requirements.
• •Prepare cost reports, forecasts and commercial updates for management and clients.
• •Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, project procedures and quality requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

• •Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• •Relevant experience in cost management and quantity surveying within the construction or infrastructure industry.
• •Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, cost planning, tendering, measurement and contract administration.
• •Experience in handling variations, claims, valuations and final accounts.
• •Proficiency in MS Excel and relevant quantity surveying / cost management tools.
• •Strong analytical, communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• •Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.

Preferred Experience

• •Experience working with multidisciplinary cost management teams and consulting organisations.
• •Exposure to commercial, residential, infrastructure or urban development projects.
• •Knowledge of relevant contract forms, cost management practices and industry standards.
