Office requirement : Hybrid, 1 day a week
Employment type : Fixed-term contract – 9 months (Caregiver Leave Cover)
At GWI we’re always looking for extraordinary people who thrive on making an extraordinary impact. Right now we’re looking for a Senior Research Analyst to play a key role in our Research Services – Agency team in London, on a 9-month fixed-term contract covering parental leave. If that’s you, and making a difference gets you out of bed in the morning, keep reading. It could be the start of something, well, extraordinary.
As our Senior Research Analyst, you’ll:
As our Senior Research Analyst you’ll lead in the management of projects during all stages of the research process (client kick off, survey design to reporting), working across a range of research approaches. Our Senior Analysts are the face of our research, and working directly with research partners and clients is integral to the role.
You’ll be doing that for the agency world. Our clients are global agency networks and independent agencies, and no two projects look the same: at one end, large and complex multi-market trackers; at the other, fast-turnaround one-off studies. The subject matter moves around just as much, so you’ll be getting up to speed on unfamiliar categories quickly and switching between them at pace. Variety is the spice of life, and this role has plenty of it.
It’s also fun; shaking things up is what working for a growing company is all about. So you’ll need to be flexible, comfortable with continuous change, and working in a high-tempo environment as we grow.
What do I need to bring with me? 💼
You’ll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires. You don't have to tick all the boxes right away; the important thing is that you’re willing to learn. Here’s what the team will be looking for:
2+ years experience in a market research role, including a significant amount of time with a research agency or media / advertising agency
Expert at producing insight driven client deliverables, narrative based reporting with experience bringing data to life through storytelling
Able to present succinctly and accurately, ensuring that points are understood as well as outlining questions/points to be addressed.
Confident in working with large, and sometimes complex, datasets,
Commercial acumen is essential, both understanding of client businesses and putting deliverables into a commercial context
A solid understanding of how advertising and media agencies use consumer insights to shape strategy, planning and creative
Broad curiosity and the ability to switch subjects fast – one project might be drinks, the next automotive, the next something you’ve never looked at before
Exceptional attention to detail. Our clients make big decisions on the back of our data, so accuracy is non-negotiable
You get stuck in, take ownership, and give clients an excellent experience from kick off to delivery
Equally important is attitude. We want people who think big (to make an impact), ask why (to find a better way), and show respect (to everyone, at every level, all the time). Those are our values, exemplified by our leadership team, and they’re a big part of what we’re looking for in you.
