The Mix Global is a brand strategy & research agency for people who want to make insights famous for the world's leading brands.
Since 2012, The Mix has been combining the best of quantitative, qualitative, strategy, and creative to create market research campaigns that answer what, why, how, and who in equal measure. Oh, and we work a 4-day week - that is right, we don’t work Fridays!
Based in London and New York, but operating globally, the team is a bunch of diverse, committed, enthusiastic, and hardworking people. Together, we work with some of the world’s biggest brands including Diageo, Nike, Just Eat and LEGO.
This position is based in London.
What you'll be doing:
In a nutshell, you’ll be delivering compelling and commercially relevant strategies based on insight gathered from primary research which is designed, conducted and analysed by you and the team at The Mix. This is a role for someone who loves to get their hands dirty and be IN the work, while also leading a team of brilliant researchers and strategists to achieve outputs we can all be proud of.
What this means on a daily basis :
You will lead the day-to-day management of multiple qualitative research projects.
You will have an active involvement in all aspects of the research – from the study design through to client debriefing (including defining a recruitment spec, carrying out the study using different qual methodologies, moderating online or face-to-face, working on analysis documents and creating compelling strategic narratives that are insight-led and evidence-based).
You will utilise and delegate appropriately to more junior members of the team to maximise the use of your time.
You will manage clients on projects, with support from a Director .
You will be alert to commercial sensitivities and proactively explore better working practices.
You will proactively investigate how we can optimise our research approaches in robust and creative ways.
We are looking for someone who has:
4+ years of agency or client-side research/insights experience.
Full process knowledge – the ability to cover all aspects (from designing qualitative methodologies for brand clients, writing a recruitment spec and a discussion guide to creating reports) with no supervision.
Proficiency extracting insight and creating engaging deliverables from multiple sources/stages.
Experience with tackling clients’ business questions and presenting findings to clients.
Experience working on large-scale multi-market projects.
Track record of running complex research projects.
Initiative and creativity in problem-solving.
Excellent written and verbal communication – the ability to consolidate a large amount of information into clear, actionable recommendations .
Bonus if you have:
Experience working with FMCG clients
Qualitative & Quantitative knowledge/experience
Experience delivering strategy in addition to research reports
Line management experience, understanding strengths and areas for development of the different team members to successfully manage, mentor and develop them.
A desire to help the agency beyond project work with thought leadership and new business pitches
Being commercially sensitive of clients, with a good understanding of how decisions are made in different kinds of corporations.
If this sounds exciting and fitting, we’d love to hear from you!
Perks of working for The Mix:
We have been working a 4-day week since 2017 - that is right, we don’t work Fridays!
