Learfield is looking for a Senior Sales Analyst to turn sales and revenue data into actionable insights that help leaders make informed business decisions. This role will support sales performance, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and strategic analysis while helping identify opportunities to grow revenue and improve sales productivity.

This is a highly collaborative role that works with sales leaders and cross-functional partners across the organization. The ideal candidate is comfortable moving between detailed data analysis and higher-level business questions, can communicate insights clearly to a variety of audiences, and proactively looks for opportunities to improve how we measure and understand the business.

Job Duties:

  • Partner with sales and business leaders to support data-driven decision making, translating business questions into meaningful analysis and recommendations.
  • Support revenue planning and performance management, including annual budgeting, forecasting, pacing and performance analysis.
  • Analyze sales performance and revenue trends to identify opportunities, risks and areas requiring deeper investigation across categories, inventory, customers and other areas of the business.
  • Build and enhance dashboards, reporting and analytical tools using Tableau, Excel and other available data sources.
  • Synthesize large and complex datasets into clear insights, identifying the information most relevant to the business question rather than simply reporting the data.
  • Own recurring reporting and analytical processes, ensuring reporting is accurate, timely and useful to business stakeholders.
  • Partner cross-functionally to improve data quality and consistency, identifying and resolving reporting or data issues when they arise.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and streamline reporting and analytical processes, reducing manual work and improving access to information.
  • Support ad hoc and strategic analyses for sales leadership and other stakeholders, often working through ambiguous business questions where the analytical approach is not predefined.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly, tailoring the level of detail and presentation of insights to different audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Help strengthen analytical capabilities across the organization by developing documentation, sharing best practices and leading training related to reporting and analytics tools.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • 4+ year of experience in sales analytics, business intelligence, revenue analytics, financial analysis or a related analytical role.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with business intelligence and visualization tools such as Tableau.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to move beyond reporting what happened to understanding why it happened and what it means for the business.
  • Experience working with large datasets and combining information from multiple sources.
  • Strong business acumen and an interest in understanding how sales activity, pipeline, customers, inventory and other factors influence revenue performance.
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely to both analytical and non-analytical audiences.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • A proactive mindset with a willingness to investigate problems, challenge assumptions and identify better ways of working.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across different teams and levels of the organization.
