Job Description Summary

The Senior Sales Leader for Onshore Wind is a pivotal role responsible for developing the bid strategy, deal structuring and managing client relationships for wind projects of global importance. In this role, you will navigate complex, long-cycle sales processes, acting as the sales lead for high-value infrastructure projects. You will orchestrate internal cross-functional teams and engage with a diverse mix of local and international customers to deliver integrated renewable energy solutions that meet the evolving needs of the energy transition.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead the sales lifecycle for complex, long-cycle wind projects, from initial opportunity screening to securing preferred status, and then continue to maintain a strong working relationship with the customer through contract signing, project execution and into the services phase.
  • Build and sustain deep relationships with decision-makers across the customer’s organisation. Coordinate engagement strategies that span local and international stakeholders.
  • Translate technical wind turbine performance, grid connection capability, project execution and service capabilities into winning, customer-centric value propositions.
  • Work in a matrix organisation to lead proposal structuring, including technical solutions and value/pricing strategy
  • Act as the "voice of the customer" within the organization, influencing functional teams (Commercial, Legal, Engineering, Finance, and Supply Chain) to ensure a mutually beneficial commercial outcome.
  • Provide insights into market trends, competitive positioning, and economic decision-making criteria.

Qualifications, Requirements & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline. A postgraduate business qualification (MBA or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • 7+ years of sales, commercial, or business development experience within the Renewable Energy, Power Generation, or large-scale infrastructure sectors.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully managing long-cycle, high-value infrastructure sales
  • Exceptional ability to communicate complex concepts and negotiate at senior stakeholder levels, both locally and internationally.
  • Proven experience working effectively within a global matrixed organization.

Desired Characteristics

  • Ability to listen to and distill customer needs, and articulate these to internal stakeholders
  • Ability to evaluate conflicting data sources and translate complex business challenges into actionable, creative solutions.
  • Demonstrated success in developing account strategies that identify future growth and cross-selling opportunities across the broader GE Vernova portfolio.
  • Unwavering commitment to GE Vernova’s high ethical standards and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Strong grasp of both the technical (wind technology/grid integration) and commercial aspects of renewable energy projects.
