What You Will Do

- Map Salesforce products to the business capabilities they support across customer communications, personalization, service, commerce, analytics and integration
- Assess the maturity and effectiveness of each capability, and identify overlaps, gaps and underused functionality

- Assess team skills, capacity and enablement needs across business and technology groups
Architecture & Platform Assessment
- Assess current-state architecture across Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, Service Cloud, B2B Commerce, analytics tools and integration middleware
- Evaluate org and data model design, capacity and scalability, multilingual support, and reporting limitations
- Identify technical debt and legacy constraints, and recommend migration and modernization paths
- Document current-state architecture, data flows and integration patterns
Licensing, Consumption & Cost
- Analyze licensing and consumption-based pricing models, and compare consumption against allocation
- Identify cost drivers, optimization opportunities and governance gaps
- Recommend cost visibility and FinOps controls
Value & Measurement
- Review how business value and attribution are measured, and test the evidence behind reported outcomes
- Assess measurement and analytics approaches, including cross-channel reporting and dashboards
- Separate platform-driven outcomes from outcomes that are contested or poorly evidenced
Service & Operations
- Review case management design, queue structures, SLAs and reporting
- Assess support workflows across channels and user groups
Integration & Data
- Review integration patterns and data flows across Salesforce and the surrounding enterprise stack
- Assess identity, consent and data-sharing patterns with the data platform and customer data layers
Vendor Partnership & Roadmap
- Evaluate the vendor partnership model, including roadmap alignment, enablement and advisory support
- Contribute to target-state recommendations and a prioritized roadmap
- Support stakeholder interviews and synthesize findings into clear, evidence-based deliverables
Required Skills
- 10+ years in Salesforce consulting and technical space, with 3+ years in large enterprise environments
- Deep, hands-on expertise in Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud
- Working knowledge of Service Cloud and Commerce, including legacy and modern architectures
- Proven experience conducting Salesforce architecture reviews, technical debt assessments or licensing optimization
- Experience assessing business capabilities and operating models for enterprise platforms
- Strong understanding of Salesforce consumption-based licensing (credits, contacts, API and data volumes)
- Experience integrating Salesforce with cloud data warehouse environments
- Relevant certifications (e.g. Application or Technical Architect, Marketing Cloud Consultant, Data Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant)
Technical Skills
- Salesforce: Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, Service Cloud, B2B Commerce, Marketing Cloud Intelligence
- Data: Snowflake or Databricks integration patterns, data modelling
- Analytics: Tableau, Power BI, attribution and measurement approaches
- Governance: Licensing and consumption analysis, FinOps practices, consent and PII handling
Nice to Have
- Experience with personalization, retail media, loyalty or personalization use cases
- Familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, identity and consent platforms, and other marketing technology
- Experience with Tableau and Marketing Cloud Intelligence
- Experience with multilingual deployments
- FinOps or cloud cost governance experience
- Retail consumer sector background
