Job Description

Seeking a dynamic SharePoint Collaboration Engineer to join our Global Enterprise SharePoint team supporting the latest Microsoft technologies including SharePoint; OneDrive; Power Platform; as well as other Microsoft 365 capabilities at Ameriprise.

Your role will provide support and guidance for our internal users working collaboratively with them to develop, implement, and support their solutions. In addition, your role will analyze business problems, develop strategies and solutions leveraging current and new technologies, followed by the implementation of the designed solution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer, maintain, and govern SharePoint Online environments, ensuring platform security, compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Manage SharePoint Online site collections, permissions, sharing settings, content lifecycle, and governance policies.
  • Design and implement SharePoint Online out-of-the-box solutions using modern lists, libraries, content types, metadata, and site features.
  • Develop and maintain Power Apps and Power Automate solutions to streamline business processes and improve productivity.
  • Build, deploy, and support SharePoint Framework (SPFx) solutions, including custom web parts and extensions.
  • Create and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation, reporting, administration, and operational efficiency.
  • Perform SharePoint Online migration activities using ShareGate or similar migration tools, including assessments, remediation, migration execution, validation, and post-migration support.
  • Support end users by addressing incidents, service requests, and platform-related inquiries.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective Microsoft 365 solutions.
  • Develop and maintain governance documentation, standards, best practices, and operational procedures.
  • Partner with security, compliance, and infrastructure teams to ensure adherence to organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement through automation, solution optimization, and platform modernization initiatives.

Required Skills

4 to 7 years of experience in the areas below:

  • Strong experience in SharePoint Online administration, including:
  • Site administration
  • Permissions and access management
  • Governance and compliance
  • Content management and lifecycle management
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Platform administration.
  • Experience in developing and supporting SharePoint Framework (SPFx) solutions.
  • Strong experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Experience troubleshooting SharePoint Online, Power Platform, and Microsoft 365 issues.
  • Experience integrating SharePoint with Microsoft 365 services and APIs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with proven stakeholder management experience.

Good to Have

  • Experience with Microsoft Graph API and SharePoint REST APIs.
  • Experience with SharePoint migration tools such as ShareGate, Metalogix, etc.
  • Knowledge of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) practices.
  • Knowledge of compliance, records management, and information governance practices.

In-Office Collaboration

Our employees work in the office at least three (3) days per week, with flexibility to work from home two (2) days per week.
