Role: Senior Software Developer

Experience: 4-7 years

Location: Mumbai/Bangalore

Must-Have Skills

C# and .NET: Strong production experience with .NET Framework 4.x and modern .NET (.NET 8+), async programming, dependency injection, configuration.
Services and hosting: ASP.NET Core, Worker Services, Windows services, and hosting the same code base on Windows and Linux/containers.
Legacy modernization: Migrating .NET Framework projects to modern .NET, replacing System.Web/OWIN/WCF dependencies, multi-targeting, characterization tests.
Windows platform knowledge: WMI, registry, event log, certificate store, service accounts, 32-bit/64-bit and native interop.
APIs: REST design, versioning, authentication and authorization, OpenAPI.
Data: PostgreSQL (Npgsql, EF Core/Dapper), migrations; exposure to SQL Server and SQLite.
Reliability: Scheduling, retries, timeouts, cancellation, failure isolation, structured logging.
Testing: Unit and integration tests (xUnit/NUnit), mocking, TDD practices.

Good-to-Have Skills

Messaging (RabbitMQ), outbox and idempotent-delivery patterns.
Docker, Kubernetes basics, CI/CD pipelines.
Python for tooling and integrations; WiX/MSI installers.
Industrial protocols such as OPC UA; exposure to OT/ICS environments.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement services, adapters and agents with clear interfaces and strong test coverage.
Migrate and refactor legacy components while preserving existing behavior.
Build secure, observable and resilient components that run unattended at customer sites.
Participate in code reviews, design discussions and release support; mentor peers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
