Job Description

The Senior Software Engineer designs and delivers complex software solutions for MMS Software Solutions across application, platform, cloud, and device domains. This role serves as a technical leader within an Agile team, drives design decisions, mentors engineers, and resolves complex technical challenges in a regulated healthcare environment. The Senior Software Engineer independently translates customer, business, system, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements into scalable, secure, reliable, and maintainable software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement complex software services, APIs, cloud services, integrations, and user-facing applications.

Lead software design discussions, code reviews, and technical reviews within the assigned product domain.

Drive development of scalable, secure, observable, resilient, and supportable platform capabilities.

Design and optimize integrations among cloud services, edge devices, inventory systems, enterprise platforms, and customer-facing APIs.

Define automated-testing approaches and improve unit, integration, system, and regression-test coverage.

Lead defect investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective technical actions.

Mentor engineers through code reviews, design guidance, troubleshooting, and technical coaching.

Manage technical dependencies across multiple teams and contribute to architecture evolution and modernization.

Support release readiness, cybersecurity assessments, risk analysis, verification, validation, and regulatory evidence.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in software development

Demonstrated experience delivering production-quality software systems.

Strong knowledge of software design, APIs, data structures, distributed-system concepts, testing, debugging, and source-control practices.

Ability to communicate decisions, tradeoffs, risks, and recommendations to technical and cross-functional stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

Healthcare technology or medical-device software experience.

Kubernetes and cloud-native SaaS development experience.

Experience supporting cybersecurity or regulatory submissions.

Experience with identity and access management, telemetry, and production-support practices.

Expected Scope

Owns major features, services, subsystems, or technically complex workflows.

Makes design decisions within a product team or defined technical domain.

Coordinates implementation across engineers and adjacent teams.

Independently manages substantial ambiguity and delivery risk.

Mentors engineers and raises the quality and effectiveness of the team.
