SailPoint is defining the next era of identity security. Our unified, AI-powered platform seamlessly secures both the Human Fabric of your workforce and the Agentic Fabric of AI and non-human identities, completely eliminating organizational blind spots.

Built on core principles like zero-standing privilege and contextualized risk, our platform transforms identity from a vulnerability into a strategic business advantage. Today, we are trusted by some of the largest, most complex organizations in the world to deliver intelligent, autonomous identity security at scale.

About the Role

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer with strong backend depth to join our engineering crew. In this role, most of your focus will be dedicated to designing, building, and scaling high-throughput backend services using TypeScript, complemented by meaningful contributions to our modern React user interfaces. You will own features across the entire software development lifecycle—from architectural design and database modeling to frontend integration, automated testing, and production deployment—ensuring our applications remain scalable, resilient, and performant.

About the Team

You will join an established, highly collaborative engineering team with mature engineering practices and a live product operating at enterprise scale. Our team values continuous learning, technical excellence, open communication, and high standards. We support one another through constructive design reviews, thorough code reviews, and shared ownership of system quality, reliability, and standards.

Roadmap for Success

Within 30 Days:

  • Complete SailPoint onboarding and integrate into team agile ceremonies, workflows, and developer environments.
  • Develop a solid understanding of our system architecture, TypeScript backend microservices, React UI codebase, and AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Ship your first bug fix or minor enhancement to production using our CI/CD pipelines.

Within 60 Days:

  • Design, build, and deliver full stack features with minimal guidance, spanning database schema updates to UI components.
  • Actively participate in peer code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical design documentation.
  • Engage in team observability practices, monitoring service health, performance metrics, and logs in production.

Within 90 Days:

  • Independently lead the technical execution of feature deliverables from concept through deployment and post-launch verification.
  • Identify and implement improvements in backend performance, database queries, and system reliability.
  • Partner cross-functionally with product management and fellow engineers to clarify technical requirements and delivery milestones.

Within 6 Months:

  • Drive initiatives that scale core backend services and enhance the overall resilience and maintainability of our stack.
  • Champion engineering best practices, contributing to shared tooling, testing standards, and architectural patterns.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level team members through pair programming and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Within 1 Year:

  • Serve as a key subject matter expert for critical backend services and full stack capabilities.
  • Help define technical roadmaps, long-term architectural strategies, and scalability enhancements for next-generation systems.
  • Elevate operational excellence and continuous delivery standards across the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 4+ years of professional software development experience with TypeScript
  • 2+ years of professional software development experience with Go
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying applications on AWS
  • Proven experience designing, building, and operating distributed systems at high scale
  • Strong experience with relational databases and SQL
  • Experience with React and modern frontend development
  • Experience with CI/CD workflows and automated testing
  • Experience with cloud observability, distributed tracing, and production monitoring

AI-assisted engineering:

Our engineers are expected to use AI development tools as a core part of their daily workflow, not as a novelty. We expect you to use these tools to accelerate delivery, expand your scope, and raise the quality bar, while applying strong engineering judgment to review, validate, and own everything that ships under your name. Comfort with prompting, agentic workflows, and human-in-the-loop review of AI-generated code is a baseline expectation for this role.

AI related Technology:

  • Cursor, Claude Code
  • Python-based AI/ML frameworks and libraries such as scikit-learn, pandas, and numpy
  • Deep Learning Frameworks such as PyTorch
  • LLMs and Foundation Models in Bedrock, VertexAI, or similar
