  • We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to serve as a subject-matter expert (SME) for the LoanIQ platform within our Capital Markets Technology organization. This is a hands-on engineering role that pairs deep technical delivery with strong domain expertise across the loan lifecycle — from origination and syndication through servicing, sales, trading, and settlement. The successful candidate will own critical components of the LoanIQ ecosystem, partner directly with front-office, middle-office, and operations stakeholders, and set the technical standard for the team as a senior technical authority.
  • ________________________________________

Drives the architecture and delivery of high impact software solutions within the job area. Applies software engineering and architectural practices, along with emerging technologies, to design innovative, scalable solutions. Leads large or complex projects, providing crossteam guidance, coaching, and training that support business objectives and strengthen overall technical capability.

Additional job details:

  • Act as the technical SME for the LoanIQ application, owning design, development, configuration, and support across the platform and its integrations.
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, resilient solutions supporting loan syndication, loan sales and trading, agency/servicing, and related capital markets workflows.
  • Translate business requirements from trading desks, syndications, operations, and finance into robust technical solutions.
  • Lead the analysis and resolution of complex production issues, including trade booking, position keeping, cash flow processing, and settlement breaks.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between LoanIQ and upstream/downstream systems (trade capture, settlement, accounting/GL, market data, reporting, and reconciliation platforms).
  • Drive code quality through design reviews, code reviews, automated testing, and adherence to SDLC and change-management controls.
  • Partner with vendors (e.g., Finastra) on platform upgrades, patches, and roadmap alignment.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across the team.
  • Ensure solutions meet regulatory, audit, security, and data-governance requirements applicable to capital markets systems.

REQUIRES: MINIMUM 5 YEARS OF CAPITAL MARKETS EXPERIENCE WITH DEMONSTRATED KNOWLEDGE OF TRADING FLOWS SUCH AS LOAN SYNDICATION, LOAN SALES AND TRADING, OR SIMILAR CAPITAL MARKETS PRODUCTS
