As we continue to scale our global platform, the Sr. Sourcing Manager will play a critical role in building and optimizing the Fanatics Brands global source base to deliver quality licensed product at competitive cost.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Sr. Sourcing Manager is responsible for building, optimizing, and managing the Fanatics Brands global source base to achieve industry-leading quality, on-time delivery, and competitive costs while developing partnerships in a sustainable and compliant business environment. This role provides strategic leadership across all sourcing functions — from annual allocation strategy and cost negotiations to cross-functional collaboration with Merchandising, Design, and Product Development — operating effectively at both the macro/strategic and tactical execution levels. The Sr. Sourcing Manager delivers business and fan impact through BOLD leadership and execution excellence, leveraging data, automation, and AI-enabled insights.
HOW WILL YOU DRIVE IMPACT
Success is measured by the ability to deliver results through BOLD capabilities and measurable outcomes.
Team & Leadership Impact (Build Championship Teams)
Cross-Functional Leadership:
Partner closely with Merchandising, Design, and Product Development on seasonal assortments, special programs, and events, integrating sourcing into the product creation process from the earliest stages.
Collaborate with the Fanatics Brands planning team on seasonal forecasts and long-term capacity planning, and work with the Sourcing Operations Team on Incoterms, payment terms, shipping requirements, and customer compliance needs.
Communicate regularly with regional Product Creation Centers (PCCs) globally to align on source base strategy, seasonal allocation, cost negotiations, and capacity management.
People Leadership:
Recruit, coach, develop, and supervise an industry-best sourcing team, building the capabilities required to support Fanatics Brands' growth trajectory.
Provide ongoing direction and performance management to ensure team members are meeting sourcing milestones, critical dates, and quality standards.
Fan & Customer Impact (Obsessed with Fans)
Ensure on-time delivery of licensed sporting product by maintaining rigorous calendar adherence to sourcing milestones and actively managing capacity across the global source base.
Drive vendor performance through scorecard reporting and continual review of quality, price, delivery, and compliance against Fanatics Brands requirements — so fans always receive the product they expect, when they expect it.
Participate in the vendor onboarding process to ensure new partners meet Fanatics Brands standards, protecting the integrity of the licensed product experience.
Collaborate with Product Integrity and the Sourcing Operations Team on vendor manuals and manufacturing agreements to uphold quality and compliance standards across all supplier relationships.
Innovation & Problem Solving (Limitless Entrepreneurial Spirit)
Develop and continuously optimize the annual allocation strategy by supplier and hemisphere, ensuring a balanced global source base while driving margin enhancement.
Introduce and implement new sourcing processes and procedures that improve efficiency, reduce risk, and align with evolving business needs.
Identify opportunities to diversify and evolve strategic supplier partnerships in response to changes in trade, logistics, and business strategy — including vendors in Asia and South/Central America.
Leverage data and technology tools to maintain an accurate source matrix document and costing tracker, enabling informed margin and financial reporting.
Ownership & Execution (Determined & Relentless Mindset)
Own the full sourcing lifecycle — from strategic vendor partnerships and seasonal allocation to cost negotiations, compliance, and delivery execution — ensuring margin goals and quality standards are consistently achieved.
Maintain rigorous vendor scorecard reporting for all sourcing functions, working cross-functionally with Product Development and Product Integrity on related reporting and accountability.
Manage all aspects of sourcing in sustainable and compliant facilities, ensuring adherence to industry-standard quality processes, compliance regulations, and customs/logistics requirements.
Execute special projects as assigned, bringing the same level of ownership and rigor to ad hoc priorities as to core sourcing responsibilities.
