Job Description

Role & Responsibilities

• •Define and drive the long-term technology and architecture roadmap for a large-scale customer-facing platform.
• •Shape architecture across multiple product pillars , creating reusable patterns and driving technology consistency where it adds value.
• •Partner closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, regional stakeholders, UI architects and engineering teams to turn business strategy into scalable technology solutions.
• •Stay hands-on with architecture and critical technical challenges across React.js, Node.js, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, AWS and Azure .
• •Evaluate and introduce modern frameworks, cloud services, engineering tools and emerging technologies .
• •Drive adoption of AI-assisted software engineering and AI Development Lifecycle (AI-DLC) practices to improve developer productivity, quality, automation and speed of delivery.
• •Define and drive the platform's Generative AI and Agentic AI strategy , identifying opportunities to build intelligent capabilities into customer-facing products.
• •Establish architecture principles, engineering standards, reference architectures and technical guardrails.
• •Drive critical non-functional requirements including reliability, availability, scalability, performance, security and maintainability .
• •Define strategies for monitoring, logging, auditing, observability and production diagnostics .
• •Identify and address architectural bottlenecks, technical debt and opportunities for platform modernisation.
• •Influence and mentor Tech Leads, senior engineers and architects, building a strong engineering and architecture culture.

Technical Expertise

• •Deep hands-on experience with React.js, Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript and modern web application architecture .
• •Strong experience designing distributed and cloud-native systems using AWS and Microsoft Azure .
• •Hands-on knowledge of AWS services including Lambda, RDS and S3 .
• •Strong experience with GraphQL, PostgreSQL and Solr or similar search platforms.
• •Experience with Akamai or comparable edge, content delivery and security technologies.
• •Strong knowledge of APIs, integration patterns and scalable distributed architectures.
• •Experience designing for high availability, reliability, performance, scalability and security .
• •Strong understanding of observability, monitoring, logging, auditing and production diagnostics .
• •Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, DevSecOps and modern software engineering practices .
• •Practical knowledge of Generative AI, large language models, AI agents and Agentic AI architectures .
• •Passion for applying AI to both customer-facing products and the software engineering lifecycle .

Education & Experience

• •Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• •15+ years of software engineering experience , including significant architecture and technical leadership experience.
• •Proven experience designing or modernising large-scale customer-facing digital platforms .
• •Demonstrated ability to influence architectural and technology decisions across multiple engineering teams or product areas.
• •Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical decisions to both engineering and business audiences.
