About Lucid

At Lucid, we are creating exceptional mobility experiences through innovation to drive the world forward. Built on Lucid’s proprietary technology and software-defined vehicle architecture, our award-winning vehicles bring our “Compromise Nothing™” approach to the global automotive market. That means refusing to choose between performance and sustainability, design and engineering, ambition and integrity. In Lucid Air and Lucid Gravity, we have designed and built vehicles that have redefined their segments, combining exceptional range, performance, design, and expansive space in a single experience.

We achieve this through deep vertical integration, with design, engineering, and production happening in-house across our global offices and manufacturing facilities. Our teams come from industries around the world, united by a shared commitment to excellence. By refusing to settle, you can help redefine what’s possible and shape the future of mobility.

As a Senior Supplier Industrialization Engineer focused on Powertrain Drive Unit and Metals, you will lead supplier industrialization from sourcing through Start of Production and post-launch stabilization. Reporting to the Supplier Industrialization Manager, Drive Unit & Metals, you will own manufacturing readiness, technical risk reduction, process validation, and launch execution across assigned commodities. You will partner directly with suppliers and Lucid teams to ensure processes are capable, scalable, and prepared to deliver production-quality components on schedule. Success in this role includes timely APQP and PPAP execution, demonstrated capacity and process capability, disciplined closure of supplier risks, and stable launch performance. This is an opportunity to influence both component design and supplier manufacturing strategy across next-generation electric powertrain programs.

What You’ll Own

Supplier Readiness: Lead industrialization for assigned drive unit and metals suppliers, establishing clear readiness milestones and ensuring manufacturing processes, tooling, equipment, capacity, and quality systems are prepared for production launch.

APQP and PPAP: Drive APQP execution and make readiness recommendations using Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEAs, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, capacity studies, Run-at-Rate results, Safe Launch Plans, and PPAP evidence.

Manufacturing Risk: Assess supplier capability and manufacturing feasibility during sourcing and development, maintain risk assessments and recovery plans, and drive open issues to timely closure.

Design for Manufacturing: Partner with Product Design and Manufacturing Engineering to evaluate manufacturability, critical-to-quality characteristics, process capability, and opportunities to improve cost, quality, and production robustness.

Process Validation: Provide technical leadership across high-pressure die casting, aluminum and steel castings, precision machining, forgings, heat treatment, gears, rotor and stator components, motor housings, drive unit assemblies, and structural metal components.

Supplier Performance: Lead structured root-cause analysis and corrective action for supplier quality, delivery, and capacity issues, including QUAL investigations, launch containment, and continuous improvement activities.

Cross-Functional Delivery: Communicate supplier readiness, key risks, recovery actions, and launch decisions to Engineering, Manufacturing, Global Supply Management, Supplier Quality, Program Management, Operations, and leadership.
