Summary

The primary role of the System Administrator is to manage and support mission-critical IT infrastructure. This role involves day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, and maintenance across Windows and Linux systems. You'll work directly with both hardware and software systems in a dynamic, multi-platform environment.

Position Responsibilities

• •Administer and support Windows and Linux environments, utilizing batch and shell scripting to automate routine tasks, streamline operations, and improve system efficiency.
• •Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot VMware virtualized environments to ensure optimal performance, availability, and resource utilization.
• •Administer and support Dell enterprise infrastructure and storage solutions, including Data Domain, PowerFlex, and PowerStore.
• •Conduct advanced system troubleshooting, diagnostics, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex infrastructure issues across operating systems, virtualization platforms, and storage environments.
• •Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration
• •Configure and manage RedHat Linux and Windows systems.
• •Collaborate with hardware vendors on system specs and refreshes.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)

• •Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field is required or equivalent combination of education, and experience. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• •Minimum 14+ years of system administration experience.
• •Strong Windows and Linux usage to include batch and shell scripting.
• •Strong Python scripting skills.
• •Advanced experience with VmWare administration.
• •Experience with Dell administration (DataDomain, PowerFlex/PowerStore storage).
• •Proficiency configuring Linux and Windows environments.
• •An active TS/SCI with Polygraph

Other Qualification & Desired Competencies

Experience troubleshooting/diagnostics ability and strong customer service abilities.

Salary Range: $170,000 - $220,000

The AV pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several factors including, but not limited to, level of position, job responsibilities, geographic location, scope of relevant work experience, educational background, certifications, contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, alignment with local internal equity as well as alignment with market data.
