Senior system engineer

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute performance test scripts using JMeter and/or LoadRunner.

Perform Load, Stress, Spike, Endurance (Soak), Capacity, and Scalability testing.

Analyze application performance bottlenecks and provide optimization recommendations.

Monitor system performance using APM tools and infrastructure monitoring solutions.

Collaborate with development, DevOps, DBA, and infrastructure teams to resolve performance issues.

Define performance test strategies, scenarios, and workload models.

Prepare test data and configure test environments.

Analyze server, application, database, and network performance metrics.

Generate detailed performance test reports and present findings to stakeholders.

Integrate performance testing processes into CI/CD pipelines where applicable.

Required Skills

Strong experience in Performance Testing.

Hands-on expertise with Apache JMeter and/or Micro Focus LoadRunner.

Experience in creating and maintaining performance testing scripts.

Strong understanding of Load, Stress, Endurance, Spike, and Volume Testing.

Experience analyzing response times, throughput, CPU, memory, disk utilization, and network metrics.

Knowledge of web technologies including HTTP/HTTPS, REST APIs, and Web Services.

Strong SQL skills for database performance validation.

Experience with Linux/Unix commands and server log analysis.

Understanding of application architecture, microservices, and distributed systems.

Knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies.
