Purpose / Summary of Position:

The Tax Accountant will prepare tax filings and payments, identify tax savings, and analyze tax issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• •Prepare quarterly and annual tax returns.
• •Research tax laws and regulations and keep up to date with changes and industry trends.
• •Identify legal tax savings and recommend ways to improve profits.
• •Analyze and organize spending, increase write-offs, and lower taxable profit.
• •Maintain corporate tax records in a timely and accurate manner.
• •Maintain confidentiality of all personal financial information.
• •Negotiate with tax authorities over tax payment issues.
• •Advise management regarding the tax impact of corporate strategies.
• •Identify tax savings in prospective acquisition scenarios.
• •Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• •5+ years of tax accounting experience, preferably public accounting.
• •Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• •MBA or CPA preferred.
• •Strong communication and analytic skills.
• •Attention to detail.
• •Manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• •Demonstrate organization and time management skills.
• •Proficient in Microsoft Office and tax software.
