Bring your tax expertise to a firm where planning and advice work together — one of New England’s fastest-growing independent wealth management firms.
Moneco Advisors is a modern, full-service financial planning firm dedicated to helping clients live their best financial lives. We combine a collaborative, people-first culture with sophisticated planning capabilities — and uniquely, an integrated tax advisory practice that sits alongside our wealth management team. We’re honored to be recognized by InvestmentNews as one of the Top 75 RIA firms “Best Places to Work” nationwide.
The Senior Tax Associate is a full-time, salaried position with a competitive benefits package and performance-based bonus potential. This role sits within Moneco’s tax preparation and planning practice, embedded inside a Registered Investment Advisory firm — which means you’ll work at the intersection of tax compliance and holistic financial planning, with real opportunities to grow into a supervisory role.
What You’ll Do
You’ll manage a full range of tax compliance and planning responsibilities while working closely with both clients and the wealth management team. Your work will span four key areas:
Tax Preparation & Compliance
Prepare and review individual, fiduciary, exempt, corporate, and partnership tax returns in compliance with federal and state tax laws.
Calculate and prepare personal and business estimated federal and state tax payments.
Interpret, investigate, and respond to correspondence from the IRS and other taxing agencies.
Tax Planning & Strategy
Develop tax and financial strategies and implement them in coordination with the wealth management team.
Partner with advisors to deliver integrated planning solutions that optimize clients’ overall financial picture.
Stay current with evolving tax law and proactively communicate relevant changes to clients and colleagues.
Client Communication & Service
Communicate directly with clients and staff to ensure timely, accurate delivery of financial statements and tax documents.
Maintain a client-first focus, delivering results with professionalism and care throughout the engagement lifecycle.
Professional Development & Team Contribution
Maintain a strong commitment to continuing education and professional growth.
Contribute to a collaborative team environment, with interest in growing into a managerial or supervisory capacity over time.
What We’re Looking For
CPA or EA designation highly preferred.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in the preparation and review of federal and state tax returns.
Tax planning and wealth management coordination experience.
Experience in client-facing roles with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
RIA industry experience preferred.
Proficiency with tax software including Lacerte, TaxDome, and SurePrep; Microsoft Office Suite; QuickBooks Online and Desktop.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Supervisory experience a plus, with a desire to grow into a leadership role.
Why Join Moneco Advisors?
This is a rare opportunity to practice tax at the intersection of compliance and holistic financial planning — inside a firm that is genuinely growing. You’ll work alongside wealth advisors and planners, serve multigenerational client families, and have a clear path to expand your scope and leadership over time. If you’re a tax professional who wants more than a compliance-only role, we’d love to hear from you.
