Ledcor Technical Services has been building and servicing communication networks for customers across North America since 1979. We are seeking experienced and dedicated Senior Superintendents to join our team for large-scale fiber installation projects. The successful candidates will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day field operations, developing project plans, and monitors performance. Recognized as an expert, they anticipate client needs and provide solutions, sharing expertise and mentoring colleagues.

Essential Responsibilities:

Will ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes

Leads the development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs, and oversees incident investigations

Reviews and updates construction schedules, addresses delays, and contributes to project schedules

Estimates activity durations and materials for complex projects

Working knowledge of reporting and tracking of financial aspects of the project

Participates in subcontractor, supplier selection , procurement and negotiations

Will set priorities and allocate resources as needed for the entire field team

Provides leadership and mentorship to project staff and Superintendents

Qualifications:

8 plus years of experience in as a Telecommunications construction Superintendent

Knowledge of Aerial and underground fiber installation using boring and plow equipment

Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline is an asset

Effective Communication and leadership skills

Ability to directly supervise craft employees as well as sub-contractors

Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to anticipate and address issues

Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current construction practices

Strong organizational and planning skills

Working Conditions:

Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), working at heights, and in all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat etc.)

This is a site-based position that will require travel to various Ledcor offices and project sites
