Brief:

We are seeking a Senior Test Engineer to join the financial services team, focusing on testing, system configuration, and deployment support for the Card Management System. The role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and operations teams to ensure successful software delivery. The successful candidate will support both manual and automated testing activities, with hands-on TOSCA experience being highly desirable. The ideal candidate will possess strong testing fundamentals, experience in integration testing, and a proactive approach to driving process improvements and supporting application modernization initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Translate business requirements and functional specifications into test scenarios and system configurations.

Design, execute, and maintain functional, integration, and regression test cases (manual and automated).

Support implementation and validation of new software releases.

Configure system settings based on business requirements.

Validate application functionality and troubleshoot test issues.

Execute integration testing across systems and applications.

Identify, document, track, and validate defects through resolution.

Support deployments and post-release validation activities.

Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to clarify software functionality and requirements.

Collaborate with developers and business analysts during sprint cycles.

Provide recommendations for improvements in testing processes and test automation.

Prepare test documentation, execution reports, and knowledge transfer materials.

Support software deployments and production verification activities.

Identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency and quality.

Technical Skills:

5-6+ years of experience in Software Testing, Quality Assurance, or Test Engineering roles.

Proven expertise in manual, functional, integration, and regression testing across complex application landscapes.

Strong understanding of software quality assurance principles, testing methodologies, and best practices.

Hands-on experience with test automation tools, with TOSCA experience considered a significant advantage.

Experience working within Agile, Scrum, and DevOps delivery models , supporting continuous testing and delivery practices.

Proficiency in testing and project management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, ALM, or equivalent platforms.

Solid understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) , defect lifecycle management, and quality governance processes.

Strong capability in test planning, test case design, test execution, defect tracking, and reporting.

Ability to analyze complex systems, identify risks, and drive effective resolution of testing and quality-related issues.

Experience within Banking, Cards, Payments, or Financial Services environments is highly desirable.

Demonstrates a continuous learning mindset and stays ahead of emerging technologies, industry trends, and evolving testing practices.

Non-Technical Skills:

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Dutch and English.

Strong analytical thinking and a solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.

Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, business-friendly language for non-technical audiences.

High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and quality outcomes.

Effective time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and deliver across multiple commitments.

Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Strong team player who fosters collaboration and contributes positively to group objectives.
