Server- Part Time AM Shift

Des Moines Renaissance Savery is currently seeking a remarkable individual for a AM Server position at our StepStone Hospitality managed hotel. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality and committed to creating memorable guest experiences through exceptional customer service. This individual will provide a welcoming atmosphere, prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, maintain a clean and organized bar, and ensure every guest receives prompt, friendly, and professional service. · Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter them into the POS system.

· Serve food and drinks in a timely, courteous, and professional manner.

· Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and dietary options.

· Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in throughout the meal and addressing any needs.

· Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure correct and timely order delivery.

· Handle payments, issue receipts, return change, or process credit cards.

· Maintain cleanliness of tables, stations, and service areas.

· Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.

· Greet all guests in a warm and enthusiastic manner and assist the host or hostess in seating guests as needed.

· Present menu, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food, service, appropriate wines, and food preparation.

· Memorize menu selections and wines, including being familiar with daily specials and basic ingredients.

· Use proper verbiage and etiquette, including serving ladies first.

· Write the order in an order notebook. Repeat the order back to guests for clarity.

· Relay orders to the kitchen and service bar utilizing the point-of-sale system.

· Observe guests to fulfill any additional requests and to perceive when the meal has been completed for guest checkout.

· Total the bill and accept payment or refer the guest to the cashier.

· Ladle soup, portion pies and desserts, and brew coffee.

· Notify a manager immediately of any guest complaints.

· Use proper etiquette guidelines for seating guests.

· Practice and observe all safety rules and procedures.

· Assist all service personnel in any duties as requested.

Maintain and follow all cash handling procedures.
