The Service Center Operations Supervisor – 2nd Shift – is responsible for overseeing outbound operations, implementing effective strategies, ensuring shipping measures and on time delivery, and demonstrating a strong focus on continuous improvement. The role also requires a commitment to safety standards and effective people leadership skills.

Annual Salary: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00

The ideal candidate is a dynamic and detail-oriented professional who can effectively manage diverse aspects of distribution center operations while promoting a positive and engaging work culture.

Key Accountabilities

Operational Excellence:

• •Oversee day-to-day operations of the regional distribution center, ensuring efficient and timely inbound processes.
• •Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to streamline processes and enhance overall efficiency.
• •Implement best practices to maximize productivity in receiving and handling incoming shipments.
• •Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve distribution center performance.

Quality Assurance:

• •Establish and enforce quality control procedures to meet or exceed industry standards.
• •Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality issues.
• •Conduct regular inspections and implement measures to improve overall product quality.

Policy Adherence:

• •Ensure strict adherence to company policies and procedures.
• •Uphold safety and compliance standards.

People Leadership:

• •Lead and inspire a team of distribution center staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• •Provide coaching, feedback, and training to team members to enhance performance and skill development.
• •Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet operational demands.

Safety Compliance:

• •Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations within the distribution center.
• •Conduct regular safety training sessions and promote a culture of safety among team members.
• •Investigate and address any safety concerns or incidents promptly.

Culture Building:

• •Cultivate a positive organizational culture.
• •Encourage teamwork, innovation, and a commitment to excellence.

Continuous Improvement:

• •Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
• •Implement and oversee continuous improvement initiatives within the distribution center.

Qualifications/Requirements

• •Preferred bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• •High school diploma required.
• •Proven experience in distribution center management, with a focus on inbound and inventory control/quality assurance operations.
• •Strong leadership and team management skills.
• •In-depth knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes.
• •Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• •Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• •Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant technologies.
