Description

Redwood City, CA | Toyota | Japanese brand | Fixed ops | Absorption | CSI | Technician development | Service leadership experience required | High volume | Peninsula | Bay Area | Silicon Valley | Veterans encouraged to apply | $100,000 - $200,000/yr

IS THIS YOU?

You have 5+ years in service management or a service leadership role and you own CSI, absorption, and technician and advisor performance

You're ready to lead the service department at a high-volume Peninsula Toyota store where guests are informed and value their time

WHO WE ARE

Toyota 101 is part of Swickard Auto Group, a hospitality company in the retail automotive space built on one idea -- be the favorite of our guests, our employees, and our manufacturing partners. We operate 40+ dealerships across the West Coast, Alaska, and Hawaii, and whether you're in Redwood City or Anchorage, the standard is the same. Do right by people, every time.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Lead the full service department -- advisors, technicians, and support staff -- to deliver consistent quality, efficiency, and guest satisfaction

Own key fixed ops metrics -- CSI, absorption, effective labor rate, technician efficiency, hours per RO, warranty compliance, and comeback rate

Coach and develop service advisors through repair order reviews and clear performance expectations

Drive technician productivity and development -- manage workflow, support certification advancement, and keep your best people

Manage department financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and absorption targets

Partner with parts so inventory supports service throughput

Maintain Toyota certification compliance, warranty administration, and manufacturer requirements

Manage staffing, scheduling, and onboarding for advisors and technicians

Handle guest escalations with composure and a solution-first approach

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

5+ years in service management or a service leadership role at a franchised dealership -- required

Toyota or import brand experience strongly preferred, ideally in a high-volume store

Demonstrated CSI and absorption results

Coaching-first leadership -- you develop advisors and technicians rather than managing around them

Operational discipline across scheduling, workflow, documentation, and warranty compliance

DMS experience required -- CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, DealerSocket, Tekion, or equivalent

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

WHAT WE OFFER

$100,000 - $200,000/yr

Medical, dental, and vision insurance

Life insurance and supplemental coverage options

Paid time off and paid holidays

Career path -- strong Service Managers at Swickard grow into fixed ops director and broader operational leadership roles

Employee vehicle purchase and service discounts

WHY TOYOTA 101

A high-volume Peninsula Toyota store with steady service traffic, so the department you lead has real volume to work with

Silicon Valley guests value their time, so accurate promise times and a smooth drive earn their loyalty and their referrals

Full department ownership -- advisors, technicians, financials, and the guest experience all sit with you

Swickard is one of the fastest-growing dealer groups in the country -- ranked Top 5 in North America for reputation in the automotive industry

Our HEART values -- Honor every guest, Engage sincerely, Anticipate needs, Respond graciously, Thank intentionally -- are the operating standard for the service department

If you're a proven service leader ready to run fixed ops at a high-volume Peninsula Toyota store -- apply.
