Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work with low to medium complexity as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Each day, you will plan and execute work on a first-time right approach with customers.
You will also showcase your expertise by displaying a clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in your own area of responsibility.

You will be mainly accountable for:
- Perform periodic inspections, maintenance, and repairs of process analytics systems and Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS).
- Install, commission, and troubleshoot process analyzers, gas chromatographs, and measurement systems at customer sites.
- Conduct calibrations, functional tests, and electrical measurements of instrumentation and control equipment.
- Identify and resolve technical issues related to the operation of analytical equipment.
- Prepare service reports, technical documentation, and recommendations for customers.
- Coordinate on-site service activities and supervise the execution of assigned tasks.
- Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Technical Support teams on project delivery.
- Maintain direct technical relationships with customers and ensure a high level of service quality.
- Carry out service activities across Poland and internationally, including participation in plant start-ups and installation acceptance tests.
- Ensure compliance with ABB's health and safety, quality, and operational procedures.
Qualifications for the role
- Technical education (university degree or technical secondary education), preferably in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Power Engineering, Instrumentation & Control (I&C), or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in servicing I&C equipment, analytical systems, or industrial automation systems.
- Hands-on knowledge of process analyzers, gas chromatographs, CEMS systems, or similar measurement equipment.
- Ability to diagnose electrical, electronic, and process-related faults.
- Proficiency in reading technical documentation, electrical schematics, and P&ID diagrams.
- Willingness to travel frequently within Poland and occasionally abroad.
- Valid Category B driving license.
- Communicative English skills enabling interaction with customers and manufacturer technical support.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in service-related situations.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
Nice to Have
- Valid SEP electrical qualifications (E) up to 1 kV or above.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols, such as: Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP
- Experience working on petrochemical, power generation, gas, or environmental installations.
- Experience in commissioning activities and project execution.
- Familiarity with ABB systems, including: AO2000, ACF5000,EL3000,GCP100, NGC8206 or comparable analytical systems.
