Sewing Technician

Description

The Level I Sewing Technician will be responsible for entry level duties in the sew shop as assigned.

Essential Functions:

• •Wraps and bands completed synthetic and ENR slings.
• •Supports the auto cutter operator in cutting, folding, and marking slings and ENR sleeving material.
• •Provides miscellaneous support for processing slings through the production line.
• •Attaches tags onto synthetic slings.
• •Sews towing products with oversight.
• •Sews 1” and 2”, up to 2 plies, synthetic slings with oversight.
• •Has a basic understanding of machine mechanics.
• •Follows all health/safety rules and best practices.
• •Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• •Ability to operate commercial sewing machines and banders.
• •Strong math, reading and communication skills.
• •Ability to work independently or in a team in a fast-paced environment.
• •Experience with smart phones, computers and software including Microsoft Office.

Education and Experience:

• •High school diploma or equivalent required.
• •Six months of related warehouse or manufacturing experience required.

Physical Requirements:

• •Prolonged periods sitting, using tools, and performing repetitive actions.
• •Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time and 75 pounds max with assistance.
• •Must have good hand/eye coordination.
• •Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect products/tags/label.

Compensation and Benefits:

• •Pay Range: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
