Sewing Technician

We are seeking a skilled Sewing Technician to sew and finish high-quality marine textile components, including boat upholstery, covers, and enclosures. This role focuses on industrial sewing using heavy-duty marine materials and requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and craftsmanship.

What You’ll Do

• •Operate industrial sewing machines, including Juki Single Needle and ABM Quilter 5432, to stitch materials used in marine applications
• •Follow patterns, blueprints, and specifications to ensure precise sewing and construction
• •Conduct quality checks to ensure finished products meet durability and craftsmanship standards
• •Adjust machine settings as needed to accommodate different materials and designs
• •Perform basic machine upkeep, including threading and replacing needles
• •Work closely with team members and the Sewing Manager to meet daily production goals
• •Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

What We’re Looking For

• •Previous experience as a sewing machine operator, seamstress, upholstery sewer, or textile worker preferred
• •Experience operating industrial sewing machines, including Juki, walking foot, quilting machines, or similar equipment preferred
• •Familiarity with upholstery materials such as vinyl, marine fabrics, or other heavy-duty textiles is a plus
• •Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• •Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for precise stitching
• •Reliable, positive, and able to work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment

Physical Requirements

• •Ability to sit and operate a sewing machine for extended periods
• •Ability to lift and move materials as needed, up to 25 pounds
• •Good vision and attention to fine details
