Summary
You will serve as a SHIPWRIGHT LEADER (EXPERT) in the DEPARTMENT OF NAVY to include work site of Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility.
Duties
- You will serve as an expert on installing, maintaining, modifying, troubleshooting and repairing a variety of scaffolding, shoring systems and components.
- You will exercise leadership skills to mentor trade employees in a wide range of work activities such as use of blueprints, specifications, and sketches to manufacture cradles and complex systems scaffolding builds.
- You will perform research to continually improve trade processes and keep shop personnel apprised of new technologies and procedures associated with shipwright work.
- You will identify cumbersome work practices and deficiencies, improve trade processes, inspect work, and implement corrective actions.
