Who we want:

Software Architect – Surgical Planning Platform

We are seeking an experienced Software Architect to contribute to the architecture and technical strategy of next-generation clinical and surgical software products spanning the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative ecosystem.

The Software Architect will collaborate closely with Technical Leads, Principal Engineers, and Chief Architects to shape and evolve the technical vision across a portfolio of desktop applications, cloud-native platforms, surgical planning and guidance solutions, visualization technologies, mixed-reality applications, and connected healthcare services.

In this role, the architect will provide architectural leadership, influence technology decisions, promote engineering best practices, and help define scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in modern software architectures, medical device software development, and platform engineering, while effectively partnering with product teams and fellow architecture leaders to drive consistent architectural direction across multiple product lines.

What you will do:

  • Set Architecture Vision – Define the technology roadmap for surgical planning and connected healthcare products.
  • Design Solutions – Own scalable architecture across desktop, cloud, APIs, data, and distributed systems.
  • Drive Platform Strategy – Establish reusable frameworks, components, and architecture standards across products.
  • Modernize Technology – Lead migration from legacy systems to modern cloud, microservices, container, and DevOps architectures.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance – Embed medical-device safety, cybersecurity, and standards such as IEC 62304, ISO 13485, and ISO 14971.
  • Enable Clinical Workflows – Guide architecture for medical imaging, DICOM/PACS, 3D visualization, and surgical planning.
  • Strengthen Engineering Practices – Drive CI/CD, automation, testing, quality, security, performance, and reliability.
  • Provide Technical Leadership – Mentor architects and engineers, influence senior stakeholders, and align global product teams.
