Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking to add a Software Configuration Management Analyst / Principal Software Configuration Management Analyst to join our team in Palmdale, CA . The candidate should be a self-starter with familiarity working in an Integrated Product Team construct.

Roles and Responsibilities will include:

Develop and maintain software configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software products.

Track and monitor changes to a software systems configuration metadata. This includes handling dependencies, version control, and variability management.

Perform configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new software product operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware configurations, and are logistically sustainable.

Design, develop, automate, and maintain productivity tools using programming, database or scripting languages to improve software modeling and development.

Design and implement build procedures that are used to support software product development and use.

Generate and maintain program software development, release, and change records.

Develop software configuration standards for company-wide use.

Train software developers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of software quality standards.

Contribute to the development of new principles and concepts.

The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility. There is no remote / hybrid / telework available for this position. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Basic Qualifications

Configuration Analyst : Master's degree and 0 years of experience, Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of related configuration and/or data management (CDM) experience, an Associate's degree and 4 years of related CDM experience, or 6 years of related CDM experience can be accepted in lieu of a degree

Principal Configuration Analyst: A PhD and 1 year of CDM experience , a Master's degree and 3 years of CDM experience, a Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of related CDM experience, and Associate's degree and 7 years of CDM experience, or 9 years of related CDM experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

Must have an active US Government Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.

Experience in reviewing contract documents to determine documentation delivery required for each phase of project.

Experience with analyzing proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system baseline.

Experience is coordinating modification records to maintain baseline control.

Preferred Qualifications

Current applicable Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.

Experience with Jira and Confluence

Knowledge and fluent in tool development

Experience working in an agile environment

Primary Level Salary Range: $75,800.00 - $113,800.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
