Software Dev Engineer, UTR Delivery Operations

Amazon Last Mile Contract Injection team, part of UTR - Delivery Operations, manages the entire lifecycle of millions of packages fulfilled and delivered through Amazon's global logistics network daily — across all marketplaces worldwide and every mode of delivery, including forward and reverse transportation models and specialty drone and robotic deliveries. Our team builds the intelligent systems that inform Routing, Planning, and On-road operations about the state and delivery details of these packages and services.

You'll work on distributed systems problems at Amazon scale — high throughput, strong consistency requirements, and downstream consumers that depend on the accuracy of what we produce. We're also developing next-generation automation powered by agentic AI — systems that reason about delivery state and act on it in real time.

As a key member of our engineering team, you'll tackle complex engineering challenges, build new services, and shape how delivery works at Amazon. Join us in building the coordination and management systems that power global last-mile logistics.

Key job responsibilities

Basic qualifications

• - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• - 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• - 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
• - 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• - Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• - Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred qualifications

• - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
