Software Developer

Enaimco is an Asset Lifecycle Management platform for offshore operations, and our customers' asset integrity partner. Integrity teams lose their days reconciling data instead of deciding with it, so we bring asset data into one immersive digital twin that stays current, because the inspection, maintenance and repair work happens inside it. Engineers plan against the asset as it is today rather than a snapshot from last year, and that same foundation is what makes remote and robotic operations possible.

We're looking for a well rounded developer who has built real things and knows what that asks of you. Someone who can take a feature from a rough idea through design, build, release and the support that comes after it, and who works as easily with their own team as with the people across the company who shape what we build and support it once it's live. You'll have a say in how things get built here, and the people around you will expect you to use it.

Our teams own their part of the application end to end, from build through release and into production, and you'd own a real piece of one.

The industry is moving fast and we work hard to keep up, so the way we build things keeps changing. Not every change lands, and when one doesn't we say so and try something else. We're growing, which means plenty of room to give input and shape where this goes, and we're looking for people who get stuck into that rather than wait it out.

We build with AI. Agents are part of how the team works day to day, not an experiment on the side, and we use them to make the team better at what it already does. You own what you ship whether you typed it or generated it, and if you can't explain it, it isn't ready.

What You'll Do

Own a piece of the application end to end, from an ambiguous problem through to production and whatever it needs once it's there.

Shape work before you build it. Write a spec for anything feature-sized and break it into issues someone else could pick up. Stay close to product and to the people using the software the whole way through, so you're never guessing at what they wanted.

Decide how you'll prove a change works before you write it, and own the testing for your area: what's automated, what's smoke-gated, what's manual, and why.

Release your own work behind feature flags with staged rollout, then watch it in production instead of handing it off.

Use agents daily on real work and own what comes out of them. Read the diff, check the claims, and bring back what you learn about where they help and where they don't.

Review other people's work properly and help your teammates keep improving their craft. Fix root causes. We don't kick problems down the road.

Who You Are

You like solving problems with technology and you go deep enough to understand why something works, not just that it does.

You're practical. You follow where the industry is going and you never stop experimenting, and you also know when the right answer is the boring, stable one somebody can debug at 2am.

You care about the craft. You read the code around yours, you leave it better than you found it, and you keep learning what the tools can and can't do.

You ask early when you're stuck and you say so when you got it wrong. You take feedback as information rather than a verdict, and you give it the same way.

You adapt quickly when things change. Priorities move, tools move and the way we work moves, and you get on with it rather than waiting for things to settle.

You own what you ship whether you typed it or generated it, you own your failures and stop them recurring, and you care how the work lands for the people using it offshore.

Qualifications

3 to 5 years of professional software development experience, with clear ownership of something in production.

Strong JavaScript and TypeScript, or equivalent production experience in a comparable language.

Experience building modern web applications and backend services.

Experience designing and integrating APIs across system boundaries.

Data modelling in a document database, and in relational databases where they fit.

Daily hands-on use of agentic coding tools such as Claude Code or Codex, with a clear view of where they help and where they don't. We're not tied to one tool.

Comfortable building and debugging applications that run in the cloud.

Bonus Points For

Having a view on the trade-offs between programming languages in the age of AI, and being able to talk it through with us.

Owning the testing strategy for a feature, not just writing the tests.

3D visualization, or building interfaces over large volumes of asset and sensor data.

Applying AI/ML to real product problems.

Performance work in data-heavy applications.

Working directly with the people who use what you build.

Why Enaimco?

Work on a platform offshore operators run their integrity work through, alongside the engineers who use it.

Build for subsea assets and the people responsible for them, where a bad release costs an operator real time.

Real ownership: small teams with end-to-end responsibility for their part of the application.

Humility, resilience and commitment to the craft are how we hire and how we treat each other, not a poster in the hallway.

Team-wide standards and best practices, including how we use agents, owned by the team and still changing as we learn.

Nobody is ranked by pull request counts or lines shipped.

Competitive salary and benefits, including health and dental coverage.

Flexible working hours and location.

Equal Opportunity

At Enaimco, we are committed to building a high-performing workforce driven by merit, where hiring and advancement decisions are based solely on skills, experience, and qualifications. We believe in fostering an inclusive environment that values diverse perspectives, and we recognize that diversity across age, race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, disability, and other characteristics contributes to innovation and strengthens our team. All interested applicants are encouraged to apply, as we evaluate candidates purely on their abilities and fit with our business needs.

Finding some points that don't quite match but still think we'd be a great fit? We encourage you to apply anyway. You could be an excellent candidate for this or another role within Enaimco.
