Do you enjoy building cloud solutions that have a real connection to physical products? Are you a backend developer who likes taking ownership beyond writing code, from shaping a solution to running it in production?
You will join Common Services , a distributed team with members in Sweden and India. We are part of Digital Solutions, around 110 colleagues who develop and operate the digital services that accompany Husqvarna’s physical products. Together, we build and maintain the shared services and platforms used across Husqvarna’s digital ecosystem.
We work with end-to-end ownership: we build it, we run it . That means you will be involved not only in development, but also in how our solutions perform and evolve over time.
Role Description
Every connected Husqvarna product runs software that must be released, traced and updated throughout its lifetime. Your main focus will be Embedded Software Lifecycle Management (ESLM), the system that gets the right software to the right products, safely and at scale.
In this role, you will:
- Develop and maintain backend and cloud-based services.
- Build and run the services that release software and firmware to connected products.
- Build and maintain tools that help developers troubleshoot connected products.
- Work closely with colleagues to understand needs, gather requirements and turn them into scalable solutions.
- Contribute to technical decisions and help shape future solutions and roadmaps as ESLM grows in scope.
- Take ownership of what you build throughout its lifecycle.
You don’t need to know everything from day one. You will have the opportunity to grow your knowledge within DevOps, connectivity and IoT, including areas such as Device Shadow, LwM2M and device configuration. Our technology landscape includes:
TypeScript/JavaScript • Node.js • AWS • REST APIs • CI/CD • React • Java
On AWS, we work with services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, RDS/MySQL, SSM Parameter Store and CloudFormation. Our solutions are built on cloud-native principles using serverless technologies and containers.
Your profile
You enjoy working together with others while taking ownership of your work. You are curious, pragmatic and keen to learn, and you care about building solutions that are reliable and useful. Just as importantly, you are happy to share what you know and learn from the people around you.
We believe you have at least 2 years of professional software development experience and a strong interest in backend and cloud development. We would especially like to see experience with:
- Backend development using TypeScript/JavaScript and Node.js .
- REST APIs and event-driven applications.
- AWS and cloud-native development.
- CI/CD and modern development practices.
- Working with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Professional communication in English, as you will work in an international environment.
Experience with Java, React, AI-assisted development tools, embedded software, IoT or messaging technologies such as AMQP and queues is a plus, but not a requirement.
