Software Development Manager, Amazon Integration Management

AIM (Apps Integration Management) org is looking for a talented and experienced Software Development Manager who is responsible for leading the Developer Tools team — building the AI-powered enablement layer that helps developers seamlessly integrate with Amazon's device portfolio. In this role, the SDM will work hands-on with engineering, product management, and cross-functional teams to deliver intelligent automation, quality infrastructure, and measurement frameworks while fostering inputs and participation from all levels of the organization.

SDM for this role is responsible for transforming the developer integration experience — significantly reducing integration time through AI-driven assistance, automated validation, and self-service tooling. SDM in this role would play a key role in scaling the developer ecosystem without increasing support overhead, and need to operationalize metrics-driven processes to continuously improve tool adoption, quality, and developer satisfaction.

SDM in this role would work collaboratively with integration teams, feature teams, partner-facing organizations, and external developers to understand their needs and deliver tooling that eliminates friction, shifts quality left, and enables developers to confidently ship first-time across Amazon's devices.

Basic qualifications

• - 7+ years of engineering experience
• - 3+ years of engineering team management experience
• - 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
• - Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
• - Experience partnering with product or program management teams
• - Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems

Preferred qualifications

• - Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
• - Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
