Software Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Expert with a strong background in Java and React (preferred) / Angular . The ideal candidate will be a proactive and dynamic individual who excels at solving complex technical problems and driving development projects to completion. In addition to the core technologies, cloud experience is a plus, Requires a good understanding of Software Architecture , Message queue pattern , microservice development.

As a Technical Expert , you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and support high-quality software solutions. You will also provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to other developers.

Key Responsibilities

Full Stack & Software Engineering Expertise

• •Full Stack Development: Design, develop, test, and maintain robust, full-stack applications leveraging Spring Boot (Java) , and modern frontend frameworks including ReactJS .
• •Scalability & Performance: Develop and optimize backend systems with a core focus on scalability, performance, and reliability .
• •API Design: Design and implement high-quality RESTful APIs to meet business requirements, documented using the OpenAPI specification , and tested with tools like Postman .
• •Microservices & Containers: Implement resilient Microservices architecture and manage application deployment using container technologies like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes .
• •Architecture Understanding : Have good exposure to Message queue based architecture , RabbitMQ , DRY concepts , focus on Code quality , security topics

DevOps, Testing, & Quality Assurance

• •DevOps Mindset: Champion a 100% DevOps mindset and collaborate across teams to manage workflows and deployment.
• •Testing & Quality: Ensure high-quality code through the development and execution of unit tests for Java and React applications, utilizing relevant testing frameworks, and participating in rigorous code reviews .
• •Source Control & CI/CD: Manage source code version control using Git and utilize comprehensive DevOps toolsets, including GitHub , Jenkins , Containers , and OpenShift .
• •System Deployment: Deploy highly available, scalable, maintainable, and monitored systems and services .

Data & Database Management

• •Relational Databases: Design and implement relational databases using PostgreSQL , with strong expertise in writing SQL queries and stored procedures for efficient data access.
• •Data Integrity: Ensure robust data integrity and performance across all database systems.

Agile & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• •Agile Methodology: Proficiently work within the product delivery lifecycle using Agile/Scrum and SAFe methodologies , leveraging tools such as VersionOne/JIRA .
• •Product Lifecycle: Participate in all phases of the product development lifecycle , including analysis, design, testing, and integration.
• •Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate effectively with product management and cross-functional teams (e.g., gathering requirements, creating technical specifications, and communicating technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders).
• •Continuous Improvement: Proactively stay current with the latest technologies, research and evaluate new tools, and support the adoption of tooling and industry best practices .

Required Skills & Qualifications

Full Stack Software Engineer

Core Expertise & Experience

• •Experience: Engineering graduate with 3-6 years of professional experience in full stack development.
• •Fundamental Principles: Strong foundational knowledge in Data Structures, Algorithms, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and the SOLID principles.
• •Agile Methodology: Proficient in agile development, specifically experienced with SAFe and SCRUM methodologies.

Backend & Java Ecosystem

• •Java Proficiency: Strong expertise in the Java programming language (including JDK 8+) and its ecosystem.
• •Frameworks & Tools: Extensive experience with the Spring Framework, including Spring Boot and Hibernate, and build automation using Maven.
• •Architecture: Proven ability to develop multithreaded, scalable applications and implement Microservices using Java/Spring Framework.
• •API Development: Skilled in designing and implementing APIs, including RESTful web services and SOAP-based web services.

Frontend & Database Skills

• •Frontend Proficiency: Proficient in front-end development utilizing the React framework, npm, and JavaScript.
• •Database Knowledge: Knowledge of SQL databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• •Good to have: Specific experience with PostgreSQL and knowledge of NoSQL databases like MarkLogic.

DevOps & Collaboration

• •DevOps Tools: Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and setting up CI/CD pipelines.
• •Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, and proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• •Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
