About the Role

We are seeking a motivated, results-oriented Software Engineer or Computer Scientist to join our team. The Software Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining Carrier eDesign software-based tools for the design and optimization of heating ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

Developing desktop and web-based software applications for HVAC system design and energy modeling.

• •Analyzing software requirements and design software solutions.
• •Producing clean, efficient code that meets software requirements.

Performing unit and system testing.

• •Working collaboratively with other developers on development projects.
• •Maintaining, troubleshooting, and debug existing software.
• •Contributing to establishing department guidelines and standards for development of software.

Evaluating and identifying new libraries, tools, and technologies for use by the software development team, as needed.

Requirements:

• •Proficient with desktop software development using C#, .NET.
• •Proficient with front-end web technologies including JavaScript and ReactJS
• •Proficient with server-side and back-end technologies including C#, .NET, and Entity Framework.

• •Understanding of object-oriented design and analysis (OOD and OOA)
• •Knowledge of software development and deployment practices on AWS.
• •Technology experience including Microsoft Visual Studio, XML, JSON, WPF, XAML.

• •Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• •Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• •Excellent verbal, writing, and presentation communication skills
• •High level of verbal and written English language fluency.
• •Experience using agentic AI tools for software development
• •3+ years of work experience as software engineer preferred but not required.
• •Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field of study.
