Software Engineer – IRIS CARBON

About the Role

We are looking for an AI-first Software Engineer with 2–5 years of experience to join our Product Engineering team and contribute to the development of IRIS CARBON , an enterprise platform for carbon and ESG reporting.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in .NET Core, React.js, jQuery, REST APIs, Microservices, and MongoDB , along with practical experience using modern AI-assisted development tools.

Key Responsibilities

• •Design, develop, and maintain scalable features and services for the IRIS CARBON platform.
• •Develop backend services and REST APIs using C# and .NET Core .
• •Build frontend applications using React.js, JavaScript, and jQuery .
• •Design and develop Microservices-based applications .
• •Work with MongoDB for data modeling, queries, aggregation, and performance optimization.
• •Develop integrations with internal and external enterprise systems.
• •Participate in technical design, coding, code reviews, testing, debugging, and deployment.
• •Troubleshoot and resolve application, API, database, and production issues.
• •Write clean, secure, reusable, and maintainable code.
• •Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and Architecture teams.

AI-First Engineering

AI is an integral part of our software engineering approach. The candidate should have practical hands-on experience with AI coding and developer productivity tools , such as:

• •Claude Code
• •OpenAI Codex
• •GitHub Copilot
• •Similar AI-assisted development tools

Expected usage includes code generation, refactoring, debugging, test generation, code understanding, documentation, and developer productivity .

Candidates should be able to review, validate, test, and improve AI-generated code and take full ownership of the final solution.

• •AI: AI-assisted development, LLMs, AI APIs, IDP, Agentic AI – exposure is an advantage

Required Skills

• •2–5 years of professional software development experience.
• •Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET Core .
• •Good experience with React.js, JavaScript, and jQuery .
• •Strong understanding of REST APIs and Microservices .
• •Hands-on experience with MongoDB .
• •Good understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, and design patterns .
• •Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• •Practical experience using AI-assisted coding tools .
• •Good communication and collaboration skills.
