Job Summary
We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable applications that advance our mission requirements. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional products and design teams to write clean, efficient code in modern languages, participate in code reviews, and troubleshoot complex technical challenges. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in computer science principles, hands-on experience with full-stack development or cloud infrastructure, and a passion for delivering high-performance software solutions in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain software applications using modern development practices and frameworks
Create and manage containerization workflows implementing DevSecOps principles and CI/CD pipelines
Plan and execute deployments to Kubernetes clusters, ensuring system stability, scalability, and reliability
Clearly communicate software requirements to relevant stakeholders daily while supporting a dynamic and ever evolving mission environment
Required Skills
An understanding of object-oriented software development using a language such as C++, Java, C#, or Python. Knowledge of GoLang or Rust is also preferred
Experience with software design patterns and a knowledge of which patterns to apply given different scenarios
A working knowledge of both relational and non-relational databases to include PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis
Well-versed in using multiple operating systems to perform development, including Windows, Linux, and Mac
Practical experience using container-based technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
Web development experience to include the usage of popular JavaScript / TypeScript frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue
An in-depth knowledge of RESTful web services to include HTTP operations such as GET, POST, PUT, and DELETE
Excellent oral communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of a contract or project team
Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and actionable documentation, including recommendations, technical assessments, and integration plans
Desired Skills
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, etc.
An understanding of popular internet protocols such as TCP, UDP, and HTTP
Familiarity with symmetric and asymmetric cryptography as well as key/certificate generation tools such as OpenSSL
A working knowledge of popular publish and subscribe message queues such as Kafka, NATS, or RabbitMQ
Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, or related build frameworks
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and software debugging skills
Excellent technical writing skills for creating and maintaining comprehensive software documentation
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline is required, with two (2) to ten (10) years of relevant experience
Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field may be counted as two (2) years of professional experience
Certifications & Credentials
Active TS/SCI w/ Poly required

Total Compensation
The salary range for this role is $125,000 - $250,000, depending on education and experience.
The salary range listed is a general guideline for this position. Final compensation will be based on factors such as role scope, experience, education, certifications, skills, geographic location, customer needs, contract requirements, and business considerations. Depending on the role and contract, employees may be eligible for additional compensation, including overtime, shift differentials, incentive pay, or discretionary bonuses.
For multi-location roles, the posted salary range may reflect a national or role-based range and may vary by location and contract requirements.
