We are seeking a systems-oriented Software Engineer, Backend engineer to join our team!

Some of the things you will work on and impact:

own end-to-end delivery of essential, core functionality for Rescale customers as well as rapidly iterating on new product ideas.

work with your teammates to build and maintain high quality automation for building and testing our main customer-facing platform.

develop and maintain critical areas of the product including identity management, elastic cloud workstations, and workflow automation.

What we’re looking for:

2+ years of experience building and operating performant, non-trivial backend systems in production.

Expertise or strong interest in the following areas: web performance optimization (including ORM and DB profiling), deploying and scaling web applications using cloud services, application security

High enthusiasm for supporting both rapid proof-of-concept prototypes as well as robust, mission critical components for both internal and external stakeholders.

Comfortable with ambiguity, strong user-first mindset, and ability to come up with non-regrettable technical solutions.

Flexibility and dedication to work in a team and ship exceptional software.

BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
