Ready to Help Shape the Future of Legal Tech?!

At Litera, we don’t just build software, we transform how the world’s top law firms operate. Every day, we Raise The Bar™ for what’s possible through AI, innovation, and solutions that power millions of legal professionals worldwide. If you’re energized by scale, real impact, and meaningful challenges, you’ll feel right at home here.

Where You’ll Work

Hybrid: This is a hybrid role based in Nottingham or London with the expectation to be in office at least 3 days a week for collaboration and connection.

Why this Role Matters

As a Software Engineer, you’ll build the Microsoft-based solutions that power how the world’s top law firms work every day — directly shaping the reliability, performance, and innovation of Litera’s product suite. Working within a Scrum team alongside developers, QA engineers, architects, and product managers, you’ll design and deliver front-end and back-end solutions across C#/.NET, Dynamics 365, and Azure. This is a hands-on engineering role where your code ships to production, your ideas influence the product, and your AI-first mindset helps the team build smarter and faster.

What You’ll Deliver

Design and deliver robust front-end and back-end software solutions using C#, .NET, and the Microsoft technology stack — shipping features that directly impact how legal professionals work.

Collaborate within a Scrum framework alongside developers, QA engineers, architects, and product managers to move work from requirements through delivery with quality and speed.

Bring an AI-first mentality to your engineering workflow, leveraging tools like Cursor and Claude Code to accelerate development and raise the bar on productivity.

Own the quality of your work end-to-end — from resolving defects with QA to creating and maintaining clear solution documentation.

Contribute to Litera’s coding standards, security practices, and engineering principles — and recommend improvements when you see a better way.

Continuously expand your technical skill set across Azure, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and emerging technologies to stay ahead of what’s next.

Litera is committed to providing reasonable accommodations throughout the recruitment process. If you need an accommodation, please let us know and we’ll work with you to meet your needs.

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

5+ years of experience in a commercial software development environment.

Strong skills in C# and .NET with hands-on experience building Microsoft technology-based front-end and back-end solutions.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 /Power Apps experience.

AI-first mentality with experience using AI-powered development tools such as Cursor or Claude Code.

Solid understanding of JavaScript and its ecosystem, including jQuery, React, or TypeScript.

Excellent problem-solving ability, strong communication skills, and comfort working collaboratively within an agile team.

Nice to Haves:

Experience with Azure services such as Azure Functions, Key Vaults, Cosmos DB, and Azure DevOps.

Familiarity with SharePoint Online, the SharePoint Framework, or Microsoft Graph.

Exposure to Power Automate, Power Apps Model Driven Apps, or PCF Controls.

Experience with feature flagging techniques such as LaunchDarkly.

Great candidates don’t check every box. If this role excites you but your experience doesn’t perfectly match every qualification, we encourage you to apply. You may be just the right person for this or another role at Litera.

What You’ll Experience

A team that shows up. Work alongside people who collaborate, support one another, and lead with integrity.

Global Reach. Partner with teams around the world to solve complex challenges that matter.

Real opportunity for growth. Expand your impact through meaningful stretch opportunities, visibility and career development.
