Summary:

In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of reliable, high-quality software by designing, executing, and maintaining manual and automated testing solutions. You will work as an independent member of an Agile development team, partnering with software engineers, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure application quality throughout the software development lifecycle. You will help advance test automation, improve testing processes, and support the delivery of scalable software solutions that meet client and business needs.

Responsibilities:

• •Analyze user stories, requirements, acceptance criteria, and technical designs to identify testing needs, risks, and dependencies.
• •Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts, test data, and supporting documentation.
• •Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated tests using Playwright, Selenium, Python, or similar technologies.
• •Build reusable automation components and contribute to the improvement of test automation frameworks.
• •Execute manual and automated functional, regression, integration, system, and exploratory testing.
• •Validate application functionality and data through SQL queries and database analysis.
• •Investigate test failures and determine root causes related to application defects, test issues, data problems, or environment conditions.
• •Document, prioritize, track, and verify software defects through resolution.
• •Collaborate with software engineers to troubleshoot issues, validate fixes, and improve solution quality.
• •Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability, automation design, and software quality.
• •Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and monitor automated test execution results.
• •Improve automation reliability by identifying and addressing unstable, inefficient, or flaky tests.
• •Contribute to test coverage analysis, quality metrics, release readiness assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• •Support test environment configuration, test data preparation, release validation, and Agile planning activities.

Qualifications:

• •Relevant degree preferred.
• •2 or more years of relevant experience required.
• •Experience developing and maintaining automated tests using Playwright, Selenium, Python, or comparable technologies required.
• •Working knowledge of software testing principles, test design methodologies, and software development lifecycle practices required.
• •Experience testing web-based applications and user-facing software solutions required.
• •Working knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts required.
• •Experience troubleshooting software defects, analyzing test failures, and validating corrective actions required.
• •Familiarity with Git or similar source-control systems required.
• •Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution processes required.
• •Experience with Python testing frameworks such as pytest preferred.
• •Familiarity with APIs, REST services, HTTP concepts, browser developer tools, and web application architecture preferred.
• •Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar work management and defect tracking platforms preferred.
• •Familiarity with accessibility, performance, security, or cross-browser testing practices preferred.
• •Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional Agile teams.
• •You must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $77,400.00 to $135,400.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
