Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Consumer Software Solutions Program Manager to help bring innovative software-enabled experiences to HP consumer notebooks. This role partners closely with product managers, concept planners, architects, system engineering teams, software development teams, and ecosystem partners to evaluate, develop, and deliver new technologies throughout the product lifecycle. The successful candidate will combine strong program management capabilities, consumer notebook industry knowledge, and a proactive mindset to help shape future PC experiences while coordinating complex cross-functional initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to evaluate emerging PC technologies, industry trends, and new software-enabled user experiences for consumer notebook products.

Coordinate the planning, execution, and delivery of new, unique, and technically complex features from concept exploration through product launch.

Guide cross-functional teams across hardware, software, system, platform, and partner organizations to ensure successful program execution.

Develop and maintain program schedules, resource plans, risk management plans, and key milestones to support product development objectives.

Monitor project progress, identify potential challenges, facilitate issue resolution, and communicate status updates to stakeholders and leadership teams.

Foster effective collaboration with suppliers, technology partners, and engineering teams to support quality, schedule, and product readiness goals.

Support the introduction of innovative technologies and continuous improvement initiatives within engineering and product development activities.

Share technical and program management knowledge with team members and contribute to a collaborative learning environment.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Management, or a related field.

8+ years of experience in program management, project management, product development, or system engineering environments.

Experience managing cross-functional product development programs with demonstrated ownership from planning through execution.

Understanding of PC architecture, notebook platforms, hardware-software integration, or consumer computing technologies.

Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin, with the ability to coordinate effectively across global teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience within the notebook, PC, consumer electronics, or related technology industries.

PMP, PMI, or equivalent project management certification.

Experience collaborating with OEM, ODM, IHV, ISV, or ecosystem partners.

Demonstrated ability to proactively identify opportunities, recommend solutions, and independently drive initiatives with minimal direction.

Familiarity with technology trend analysis, feature planning, and new product introduction processes.
