We are looking for a Software Test Engineer with strong experience in API and backend testing, with a focus on exploratory testing, debugging, and validating system behavior across services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute exploratory and functional test scenarios
  • Perform API testing using tools like Postman, Swagger, or SOAP UI
  • Validate API responses (status codes, payloads, error handling)
  • Test end-to-end workflows across services
  • Perform database validation using SQL queries
  • Debug issues across API and backend layers
  • Log and track defects with clear analysis
  • Collaborate with developers and product teams

Required Skills:

  • Strong experience in API testing
  • Hands-on with tools like Postman / Swagger / SOAP UI
  • Good understanding of client-server architecture
  • Knowledge of caching mechanisms and cookies
  • Strong test case design and exploratory testing skills
  • Good debugging and analytical skills
  • Clear bug reporting and communication skills

Good to have skills:

  • Experience with API automation tools
  • Understanding of microservices architecture
  • Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
