The Opportunity

Following a period of significant growth, our Tier 1, award-winning Class Actions team is expanding - and we're looking for a talented Solicitor to join us in Sydney. This is a newly created role, reflecting the strength and momentum of the practice.

You'll work alongside multi-award winning partners Jason Betts , Melissa Gladstone and Nataly Adams , and a broader group of leading lawyers across our local, national and global network. Your work will span class action matters and complex, strategically critical regulatory investigations and enforcement proceedings, acting for major national and international clients.

You will have responsibility for contributing to an excellent client service, handling files, identifying issues and proactively providing solutions. You will be embedded in a highly motivated and innovative team where you will play an important role in projects to further develop business opportunities with existing and new clients. You will also work with colleagues in our interstate and international offices.

You'll also have extensive opportunities to build meaningful relationships across the firm and the market. This is a team of highly ambitious, collaborative lawyers — and the learning opportunities that come with working alongside them are exceptional.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

an Australian or New Zealand practising certificate

2-4 years of post-admission experience

solid experience across a range of commercial litigation matters — ideally including class actions gained at a leading top-tier, national or international firm, or in-house environment

a strong academic record, sharp legal skills and a practical, solutions-oriented mindset

energy and initiative - you want to be an integral part of a market-leading, supportive team

an ability to work to tight timeframes, collaboratively and at times autonomously

excellent communication skills and ability to demonstrate collegiality within a team

genuine curiosity and a hunger to learn, develop and help maintain a market-leading practice

an innovative mindset, curious about AI and emerging technologies

The Disputes Team

Our global, multi-disciplinary Disputes team brings together world-leading sector specialists and regional experts to deliver commercial insight and legal advice that Chambers and Partners describes as coming from a 'Dispute Resolution powerhouse that consistently tops the rankings across the world'.
