Solutions Architect, AWS Mexico Cross Industry

Are you passionate about helping customers solve complex technical challenges? As a Solutions Architect II at Amazon, you will partner directly with customers to design and deliver technical solutions that drive meaningful business outcomes. You will combine your technical depth with business understanding to architect solutions that are secure, scalable, reliable, and performant. This role puts you at the intersection of customer needs and technology innovation, where your recommendations shape how organizations leverage our platforms and services to reduce costs, mitigate risks, and accelerate growth.

• Key job responsibilities
• - Design end-to-end technical solutions for customers by understanding their business context, outcome priorities, and technology challenges, while applying sound judgment on trade-offs such as load distribution, data store choice, scaling strategy, and failover mechanisms.
• - Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers, diving deeply into design choices, best practices, and use cases to help them identify opportunities and risks with their technical decisions.
• - Leverage existing repeatable design patterns where appropriate and create new reusable solution designs when needed, seeking opportunities to simplify existing solutions and processes.
• - Develop and deliver technical content including presentations, workshops, and written guidance that educates customers on best practices and incorporates lessons learned from real-world engagements.
• - Collaborate with internal teams across sales, engineering, and support to progress customer opportunities through their lifecycle, while contributing to peer design reviews and sharing best practices with teammates.

• A day in the life
• You start your morning reviewing a customer's architecture proposal, identifying areas where a different scaling strategy could improve reliability. By midday, you are on a call with a customer's engineering team, whiteboarding a solution that addresses their data migration challenges. In the afternoon, you collaborate with internal engineering to translate customer feedback into product requirements, then wrap up by refining a workshop you are building to help customers adopt a new design pattern.

Basic qualifications

• - 5+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
• - 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• - 4+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

Preferred qualifications

• - Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
• - Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective
• - Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
