We don’t just work on cutting-edge technology; we solve complex, high-impact problems that drive innovation and security. We specialize in developing advanced software that helps people think more effectively by using innovative visualizations, cutting-edge machine learning, and property graph analysis.

Why Work Here

This internship provides hands-on experience with the tools and mindsets used in modern digital engineering. You’ll gain visibility into real-world systems integration challenges and learn from a team committed to mentoring and innovation.

The Role

As a Solutions Engineer Intern at Tenet3, you’ll gain hands-on, immersive experience centered around Cameo, Tenet3’s MeTRA platform, and digital modeling. You’ll work closely with a cross-disciplinary team to build and maintain comprehensive SysML models in Cameo, and leverage the MeTRA platform to support data integration and system analysis for complex systems in aerospace and defense.

This internship is ideal for students interested in digital engineering who are eager to become proficient in industry-leading MBSE software and cutting-edge proprietary tools. You’ll receive deep exposure to the Cameo environment, and a front-row seat to how digital models and platforms like MeTRA drive the future of defense acquisition.

What You’ll Do

Assist with comprehensive system modeling exclusively using Cameo Systems Modeler.

Draft, link, and maintain foundational SysML diagrams within the Cameo environment.

Work within the Tenet3 MeTRA platform to support digital engineering workflows, model integration, and data visualization.

Learn and apply Python to automate Cameo modeling tasks, extract model data, or validate model integrity and bridge data between Cameo and MeTRA.

Participate in team standups, model reviews, and receive direct mentorship from our team of Solutions Engineers.

Essential Job Duties

Cameo Modeling Support: Assist with creating, navigating, and maintaining detailed system models in Cameo. Apply standard SysML practices to ensure models are structurally sound and accurate.

MeTRA Platform Operations: Utilize Tenet3’s MeTRA platform to support systems analysis, interact with digital models, and contribute to a broader, integrated digital engineering ecosystem.

Python Scripting & Automation: Learn and apply Python to automate modeling tasks, query Cameo data, and facilitate data exchange between Cameo models and the MeTRA platform.

Technical Documentation: Contribute to internal model annotations, and generate structured technical documentation and reports directly from Cameo and MeTRA models.

Team Collaboration: Participate in standups, model demonstrations, and retrospectives; ask thoughtful questions and seek feedback on your modeling techniques.

Version Control & Traceability: Learn how Cameo models, MeTRA artifacts, and digital data are tracked, merged, and structured using version control tools like GitLab and Teamwork Cloud.

Skills and Qualifications

Education : Enrolled in a bachelor's program in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Math, or a related STEM field.

GPA : Minimum 3.5

Programming Exposure : Basic familiarity with Python (coursework, personal projects, or research).

Cybersecurity Exposure: Basic familiarity with the building blocks of cryptography (coursework, personal projects, or research)

Tool Curiosity : Interest in learning MBSE tools such as MagicDraw/Cameo, or similar.

Communication Skills : Clear written and verbal communication; able to ask good questions, write clean documentation, and collaborate across teams.

Growth Mindset : Self-driven, curious, and eager to learn digital engineering workflows in a real-world context.
